Hiding

I am lucky that we can afford a housekeeper every two weeks. She takes a lot of pressure off me! I’m fine with picking stuff up and occasionally wiping down surfaces, but I am SO thankful to have someone else scrub the bathtub.

When Norma comes, I make myself as scarce as I can. With only 700 square feet at our disposal, it’s difficult to hide without leaving! So today I treated myself to sushi at Hanabi. This is a $10 lunch special!

And now I’m at Genuine Joe’s taking advantage of a cool, rainy day by drinking a giant bowl of chai latte. I feel a little like I’m back in high school, my golden age of the coffee shop–except there’s no smoking allowed in here. Luckily I quit smoking almost 10 years ago, so this isn’t an imposition. I wouldn’t have had a kindle in high school, either.

I am always so happy with the quality there, too! I mean, the price is great, but not if the food is low-quality. It was a great day, thanks!
